Alien 3 is so underrated. Just got into the alien franchise a few weeks ago, I’ve become pretty damn obsessed. Watching documentaries, playing the video games, buying the fan fiction books, ordering collectors editions of the films on Amazon.. there’s a really pricey steel book of Alien 3, pretty tempted to get it.

There’s no cgi in ALIEN 3. The weird looking alien is actually a puppet super imposed onto the film. It was just done very poorly. CGI was still brand new in 1992 and very very few films we’re using it. ALIEN resurrection is really entertaining to watch. It’s a terrible film and an even worse ALIEN film but it’s still fun.
I prefer Alien and Alien's obviously, but I do think Alien 3 is unfairly underrated. The score is amazing (the best in the franchise), the alien looks incredible (Puppet, not the CGI - My favourite shot in the entire franchise is the Alien hissing next to Ripley's face), I didn't even really mind the killing of Newt and Hicks because it just ...
