  1. Calvin marketing: "We're a progressive, open-minded, and inclusive university that is staunchly anti-racist!" Calvin on the inside: "We're the evangelical hell-hole you worried about, and if you're gay, democrat, or have sex, racism is back on the menu." Sounds like my experience at Canisus College except replace evangelical with Catholic.

  2. Calvin University might be one of the very few universities I might be able to afford out of the universities I applied to this year. So, I want to make sure if it's worth getting in Calvin or taking a gap year and applying to other universities next year with a better application. u/jukjunk.

  3. Calvin University president leaving over ‘inappropriate’ messages. “That report did not include allegations that Boer’s communication was sexually explicit or that there was any physical contact, “but the alleged conduct is concerning and inappropriate,” the school wrote. Vague.

  4. Interestingly, the trend doesn’t seem confined to far-right religious schools. 5. I know, however, that Calvin College isn't considered a top University. I don't know. Do you guys think it's worth it? Also, Calvin College is a Christian school, and right now I'm not too fond of religion in general. I don't mind christians. My international high school is a christian school, and I don't mind at all.

  6. Calvin college faculty and student body largely support non-literal creation (biologos), active homosexual relationships and desires, ordained women, biblical errency, as well as divorce and re-marriage. I had ranging experiences from being taught that key portions of the Bible were not inspired or truth.

  7. I think one factor may be the lack of enough CRC kids to really support the school, though. (E.g. Calvin's rebranding to Calvin University was mainly to better market itself towards international students.) For Calvin to continue with an enrollment of about 4,000, they may need to branch out much more towards other denominations.
