  2. Yes definitely. I have always loved Supergirl as a part of the mythology tbh but beyond that it just lowers the stakes on the stories to normalize Kryptonian powers. On Superman & Lois there’s a drug that high school students can buy that literally gives them temporary super powers. I mean.

    • The Man of Steel. Superman has long held the title of Man of Steel ever since his debut in Action Comics #1 back in 1938. However, it wasn’t until a few issues later in Action Comics #6 that he was officially referred to as such.
    • The Man of Tomorrow. In classic comics, it was quite common to use descriptive captions rather than always repeating the name of a hero, which was boring for most people.
    • Supes/Supe. As per the Urban Dictionary, Supes or Supe is short for Super which means really awesome or cool. Therefore, it shouldn’t be surprising that Superman goes by this nickname as well.
    • Boy Scout. Most of his fellow superheroes famously refer to Superman as a boy scout. This was made popular in the 1950s when DC was actively supportive of the Boy Scouts.

While the first Pre-Crisis versions of the evil General Zod was from another reality and was killed by Superman after they destroyed their home planet, a modern version of Zod and his allies debuted in the comics following the character's appearance in the original Superman movie franchise.
    • Xa-Du The Phantom King. The Kryptonian scientist Xa-Du was the first to be banished to the Phantom Zone after his experiments into suspended animation were found to be immoral by the ruling Science Council, leading to his hatred of Jor-El and his heirs.
    • Phantom Zone Survivors. After Superman first discovered the Phantom Zone Projector, he unleashed a whole new world filled with criminals from the era of Krypton who would continue to play a role in Superman's story, like General Zod and his followers (more on them soon).
    • Eradicator. The original version of the Eradicator was a corrupted alien device that was sworn to destroy all other cultures in order to preserve Krypton's heritage, though it eventually rededicated itself to protecting Superman when it discovered the Last Son of Krypton.

Feb 3, 2021 · H’El, just like Zod in Man of Steel, desires to reignite the lost flames of Krypton, and arrives with the appearance of what looks like a dragon, but is actually a Kryptonian animal called a Tripodal Curosiananium. It just makes him a bit more unique in my estimation to not only be something of a alien that introduces himself to the human race by doing good...
