The special features are worthwhile viewing, particularly the footage of Janet Gaynor presenting at the 50th Academy Awards Ceremony, which nicely connects the film stars of the distant past to the present.
Plus, the high-definition viewing of the 4k restoration of the original lime-green-tinted 35mm print really brings out the steamy breath emitting from the supposed corpses of the historical reenactment of the 1889 flood that killed over 2,000 people.
