Joyland is a family-owned park that is part of the Mackenzie State park system. Though the park is not a large park with lots of roller coasters and rides, it proves that you do not need to have all the hype and big rides to have fun.

Jul 19, 2014 · Joyland is a very small amusement park in McKenzie Park in Lubbock, Texas. It has some nice rides for little ones and a few scary rides for the older kids and adults. I would take small children before dark when it is a little easier to not get lost and before the teens arrive and it gets rowdier and the foul words fly.
The park offers affordable family fun and its midway features 30 rides, including three roller coasters and an antique Carousel that was built in the early 1900s. Popular family attractions include the Skyride, Train and Bumper Cars.
