    A native of Massachusetts, Sheridan graduated from St. Peter`s College with his bachelor's degree in 1972 and later graduated from Seton Hall University College of Law with his Juris Doctorate degree in 1977.

    After law School, Sheridan became a law clerk for former Superior Court Judge James Petrella in the Superior Court of New Jersey representing Bergen County from 1977 to 1978.
