Rumor had it that Frost was hiding in a closet (or under a bed, depending on who was telling the story) when Phillips was beating up his girlfriend and dragging her down the stairs. Phillips was enraged because he allegedly saw Frost driving his (Philips's) car with his girlfriend in the passenger seat.
I’ve always wondered who called Phillips to tip him off that Scott Frost was with his former girlfriend. And if that phone call had not happened, how history might be different.
