Born in London, England in 1913, Les Tremayne moved to America with his mother four years later and went on to become one of radio’s busiest and best actors. At one time, he was one of the most recognizable voices in America, second only to President Franklin Roosevelt.
Over his 50-year career, Tremayne accumulated over 120 credits in television, film, and voice acting. Notable roles included Mentor in "Shazam!" (1974-1977), Edward Quartermaine in "General Hospital" (1978-1983), and the narrator in "The Pirates of Dark Water" (1991-1993).
