Smurfs: The Lost Village. Directed by Kelly Asbury, this movie is based on the Smurfs comics and is a reboot of the franchise.
- Wonder Woman. After a steady stream of movies about male superheroes, it’s about time a wonder woman shows us how it’s done. This film takes us through the upbringing of Amazonian princess Diana as she trains relentlessly to become a fierce warrior.
- Cars 3. Lightning McQueen is zooming back into our hearts, but a fresh crop of speed racers threatens to leave #95 in the dust. Not one to rest on his tires, our hero partners with a young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, who’s also hoping to be crowned the Piston Cup racing champion.
- Despicable Me 3. Gru and the minions are back! This time, the reformed supervillain’s fortitude is tested when he learns that he has a filthy rich twin brother, Dru, who’s bent on bringing him back to the dark side.
- Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. This beloved children’s book series is finally jumping to the big screen and into a pair of tighty-whities! Hilarity ensues when pranksters George and Harold hypnotize their angry principal, Mr. Krupp, into thinking he’s Captain Underpants, the goofy underwear-clad superhero of their imagination.
- My Little Pony. Hasbro’s magical horses are hitting the big screen with the voices of Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Michael Pena, Uzo Aduba, Live Schrieber, Taye Diggs and Sia.
- The Star. Timothy Reckart directs the faith-based Sony film, following a small but brave donkey who breaks free from his daily grind at the village mill and, along with a handful of stable animals, follow the Star and become accidental heroes in the first Christmas.
- Coco. The Pixar title, centering on Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration, follows a 12-year-old boy who sets off a chain of events relating to a century-old mystery, leading to an extraordinary family reunion.
- Ferdinand. Based on the classic 1936 children's book, the Fox title follows its titular bull — a relatively mellow and peaceful creature — as he is mistakenly chosen to star in the bullfights in Madrid.
