From 1980 to 1983, she played the character Cricket Montgomery [4] [5] on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns. She also appeared in three B-grade slasher films : Blood Frenzy and Savage Harbor (1987); and Iced (1988).
In 1980, Loring joined the cast of the soap opera "As the World Turns". She portrayed Cricket Montgomery, a half-sister of the regular character Margo Montgomery Hughes. Loring continued appearing in the series until 1984. In 1981, Loring married the soap opera actor Doug Stevenson.
