Michael Vincenzo Gazzo (April 5, 1923 – February 14, 1995) was an American playwright who later in life became a movie and television actor. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Godfather Part II (1974).
Frank Pentangeli is a fictional character from the 1974 film The Godfather Part II, portrayed by Michael V. Gazzo. Gazzo was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance, which he lost to Robert De Niro, his co-star from the same film (as young Vito Corleone).
Michael V. Gazzo was an Italian-American actor and playwright. Starting off as playright on Broadway, Michael V. Gazzo was also a member of the Actor's Studio and author of hit play A Hatful of Rain, which would later become a successful movie.
