Similar to Attal’s earlier segment, this one begins with two strangers (Chris Cooper, Robin Wright) standing outside a restaurant, talking and smoking. She discusses the excitement of one night stands, and quietly explains her assumed disappointment at returning inside to sit with her husband.
Eleven vignettes, all homages to New York City life, are presented. I. Ben (Hayden Christensen), a pickpocket, is attracted to Molly (Rachel Bilson) at first sight, and gets into an interesting "pissing match" with Molly's married lover, New York University professor Garry (Andy Garcia).
New York, I Love You is a 2008 American romantic comedy-drama anthology film consisting of eleven short films, each by a different director. The shorts all relate in some way to the subject of love, and are set among the five boroughs of New York City.
We see at the end that she is a video artist; she displays her footage at an art show and we see glimpses from all the stories in the film. Because sometimes, the surprise “spoiler” ending is the only reason you’d pay $11 to see what is otherwise a turkey of a film.

Henry, the master of New York short stories. Bilson and Christensen meet in a bar, where he finds a cell phone she left behind.
