Feb 9, 2018 · ABILENE, Texas -- Radio broadcaster and convenience-store veteran Daniel Patrick McCurdy Sr., who helped create the “Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven” campaign, died Feb. 5 at age 76. McCurdy began his career in radio in high school working for a small radio station in Stamford, Texas.
Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven. 1969 in USA. One of the most memorable ad slogans ever created, “Oh Thank Heaven” has been around for more than 50 years. The catchy slogan positioned 7-Eleven as the place for everything you need. Unless you need a dancing bear.
