Dec 30, 2009 · Onkyo M-5150 power amp. Hello everyone, I may be kicking a dead horse here but can anyone tell me the difference between the M5150 and the M5160? Both rated at 150 wpc both delta design amps....
Nov 2, 2014 · #1. I just picked up a full Onk rack system that contains an M-5130 power amp. Took the cover off. Deoxit and cleaned. DC offset was close enough to zero for me. Inside I found a decently large transformer (although, not toroidal) and 2 pretty big Nichicon caps. All the rest of the caps are Nichicon as well.
Jul 15, 2006 · I am the original owner of an Onkyo M-5150 amp (circa 1988). It’s a two channel amp with 150wpc. I actually have the matching preamp, but something has gone south in it.
Power output: 150 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Frequency response: 5Hz to 100kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 0.09%. Damping factor: 40. Input sensitivity: 1V. Signal to noise ratio: 100dB. Dimensions: 435 x 140 x 279mm. Weight: 9.1kg.
Jun 6, 2011 · Anyways, the M-5160 is a decent sounding amp. It is rated at 150 wpc with just a pair of STK outputs. The transformer is not overly generous for the rating but it does have some heft.
