I'd thought (from looking at the pictures) that it was considerably more weight than 70 pounds, as my husband went from 386 to 142 in 18 months due to a bypass (and complications), and they have similar before/after pictures.

After five years, when he made an appearance in public in 2011 the public saw a different Jackson. He’d gained many pounds and appeared to be heavier than the previous.

Apr 9, 2012 · These pics are about six months apart by my reckoning. After the LoTR filming he apparently lost all the weight by changing "my diet from hamburgers to yogurt and muesli and it seems to work". Creature comforts while he works!
Congratulations to Mr. Jackson for losing all that weight. But I have to say he looked happier when he was heavier. Now he looks like a heroin addict. It's a shame for him to have lost all that weight and keep that same hairstyle.
