Short Stories. The Short Stories of Philip K. Dick. Philip K. Dick published 117 short stories in magazines during his life time, between 1952 and 1981. Three stories were published posthumously. The majority of the short stories were written and published in pulp magazines before 1960 (see chart).
Philip K. Dick wrote approximately 121 short stories, most of them for science fiction magazines. His writing career began, and in many ways he found his voice as an author, in 1952-1953, when he wrote and sold 67 stories, five of which have been made into films as of late 2003.
