The blurb on the DVD box claims this is a unique and original horror film. However this isn't true, the plot behind Pontypool has been seen in everything from STAR TREK to THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Indeed anyone who remembers the T Zone episode Wordplay would be inclined to think that the makers of Pontypool took that idea and just ran with it.
