Robert Morse toured nationally many years ago in a one-man show called “Tru,” where he played Truman Capote. His impression was so realistic that - after the play was over - he had to come back out, peel off his makeup onstage, and speak to the audience in his real voice, because some people didn’t believe they had actually seen Robert Morse.
I have both the original cast album and the soundtrack to the movie on CD. I've watched quite a lot of his movies and TV shows. He always brought so much joy. Anyone see a bit of Jim Carrey in his mannerisms? He should have been a bigger star than say, Jim Carrey. It's sad that such an incredibly talented actor wasn't more famous.

Morse earned multiple nominations and wins for Tony, Drama Desk, and Emmy awards over a period of five decades. He appeared in musicals and plays on Broadway, as well as in movies and television shows. Morse made his television debut in the CBS soap opera The Secret Storm in 1954.
