Robert Thorogood (born 1972 in Colchester, Essex) [1] is an English screenwriter and novelist. He is the creator of the BBC One murder mystery series Death in Paradise [2] and the UK Drama murder mystery series The Marlow Murder Club. He won France Film's "En Route to France" award in 2012. [3]

Robert Thorogood was born in Colchester. He is a screenwriter and novelist. He will be well known to Suffolk readers as the creator of the BBC mystery series Death in Paradise. More recently he has written The Marlow Murder Club and Death Comes to Marlow which is published by HQ on 5 January.
