Oct 20, 2022 · Roland and Yamaha are in tight competition with their mid-tier kits, but Roland’s top-end kits are the winners for me. Nothing comes close to the TD-50 Series and VAD706 kit. Both kits are powered by the TD-50 drum module, which is the most intricately fantastic drum module on the market.

- Roland TD-50KV2. The BEST Electronic Drum Set. Roland V-Drums TD-50KV2. 4.5. The TD-50KV2 dominates every other kit on the market. There’s a reason Roland is king when it comes to electronic drums.
- Roland VAD506. Amazing quality, cheaper than VAD706. Roland V-Drums Acoustic Design VAD506. 4.5. Similar to the VAD706, the VAD506 is more affordable (to a degree), featuring the TD-27 sound module instead of the TD-50X.

Jul 28, 2022 · Alesis Nitro Mesh kit vs Yamaha DTX402K vs Roland TD-1K: build. It’s truly amazing what £3-400/$4-500 will get you these days in terms of e-drum manufacturing quality, and the pads, pedals and racks of all three kits are clearly up to withstanding years of even the most enthusiastic hammering.
Yamaha and Roland are the best for longevity and quality, so on either side you will be good for that. I personally think the TD27 kit as a whole is the better option. It comes with the digital snare and digital ride and those just cant be beat.
