Laura tries to convince Miranda to keep her newborn baby. Fin reveals his romantic side to Miranda during the full moon. Laura is shunned by the people of Pearl Bay after she orders Ben to close his pub.
History Repeats: In the 2019 miniseries, Laura returns to Pearl Bay to find that Miranda is pregnant and refusing to tell her anything about the baby's father. Two episodes later, after the birth, Laura's second daughter Stella arrives, as does her boyfriend Josh, and it transpires that the two were in Pearl Bay nine months earlier.
Laura has no idea that Miranda is pregnant, a secret Miranda wants to keep for as long as possible. Meanwhile, Bob Jelly (John Howard) has just wrapped up a stint in jail with yet another scheme on the boil.

When we first meet Miranda we get the impression of a responsible, slightly bossy, caring, older sister. You get the sense that she is the one taking care of Rupert and helping the family tick. When they are living in inner city Melbourne Miranda is the one who makes sure Rupert has eaten and that Laura gets to work on time. When they move to Pearl Bay and are separated from their father, Miranda, to begin with at least is not keen to see Jack due to what he did to Laura. She eventually comes to terms with the fact that despite his mistakes he is her father.
Halfway through series two Miranda strikes up a close friendship with Craig Jelly, the brother of Jules, the girl who she was forced to befriend earlier on in the series. Craig wants to date but Miranda makes it very clear she just wants a friendship. In the final episode however, Craig pretends to be gay to have an excuse to kiss Miranda. Needless to say she is very willing indeed...
