The Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick, are a Roman Catholic religious institute of women founded in Madrid, Spain, in 1851 and dedicated to the care of the sick, poor, both in clinics, hospices and through home health nursing.
Aug 30, 2024 · It’s a Congregation founded by St. Maria Soledad Torres. We take care of the sick in their own homes, free of charge. We see Christ in them and assist them, like Mary at the food of the cross, helping them to offer their sufferings for the salvation of their souls.

Nov 26, 2014 · Six sisters left their homeland on August 20, 1914, debarking in Texas and arriving in New Orleans one month later. The same bishop who originally welcomed the sisters to their arrival point in Texas, would be nursed by the sisters as the Archbishop of New Orleans on his deathbed.
