Fifteen years later the name Riesenberg appears on Martin Hellwig's map of Silesia. The German name later changed to Riesenkoppe ("giant top") and finally to Schneekoppe ("snow top", "snowy head" [2]). In Czech, the mountain was initially called Pahrbek Sněžný.
