Dem1se's getting started guide on mod UIs. Category: Modding. Mods are packages of files which change Stardew Valley in some way. Mods can add features (like showing NPCs on the map), change game mechanics (like making fences decay more slowly), make cosmetic changes (like making your house look like a hobbit home), and much more.

Nov 28, 2020 · The mod can respond when something happens in the game (like when an object is placed in the world), run code periodically (like once per update tick), change the game's assets and data, etc. SMAPI mods are written in C# using the .NET Framework, and Stardew Valley uses XNA/MonoGame for the game logic (drawing to the screen, user input, etc).
By default, it does not search the modding pages. Lumina's suggestion with the search box is: type modding:yoursearch . LenneDalben's preferred method is to to google stardew valley X modding wiki, where X can be maps, NPC, schedule, etc. That usually pulls up the correct page.
Description on Nexus: Stardew Valley Expanded is a fanmade expansion for ConcernedApe's Stardew Valley. This mod adds 27 new NPCs, 50 locations, 260 character events, 27 fish, reimagined vanilla areas, two farm maps, a reimagined world map reflecting all changes, new music, questlines, objects, crops, festivals, and many miscellaneous additions!
The mods you downloaded should all be in zip, rar, or some other file container format. Extract them to the Mods folder in your Stardew Valley folder. Leave folder and file names exactly the way they are when you extract them. If the file is a .rar and you don't know what that is, it's just like a .zip but made by a different program.
