In season two, Hamilton ran for the office of the Mayor of New Orleans and was elected after the other candidate was arrested for funneling drugs into Hamilton's district. He and Pride are later taken hostage after Hamilton is implicated in a cold homicide case, though he is later exonerated, and the real killer is arrested.
