Mar 20, 2014 · Interview. Diversity strategist J.T. (Ted) Childs, Jr. was born on November 26, 1944 in Springfield, Massachusetts to John and Clara Childs. He graduated from Classical High School in 1962, and received his B.A. degree in psychology from West Virginia State University in 1967.
The role of Ted Childs® LLC is to serve as a global “Strategic Diversity Advisor” to Senior Management and a client’s Workforce Diversity team. While at IBM, Ted held a variety of human resource assignments, including fifteen years of executive responsibility for global workforce diversity programs and policies.
Ted Childs is a thought leader, strategist and a catalyst for change. In August of 2006, Ted Childs retired from IBM after a 39 year career, the last 15 as the executive responsible for the company’s Global Workforce Diversity Programs. Learn more.
