The bad guys can pour a rain of lead into a besieged position and hit nothing more than a lantern or a whisky bottle, even by accident.

Not to mention all the filmmakers who were inspired by Carpenter’s dark vision; Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight wouldn’t even exist without its influence .
