May 19, 2021 · Back in 2012, an 86-year-old Griffith sadly passed away, though memorabilia to remember his legacy became a hot commodity. It should be no surprise that the most sought out collectible is a replica Ford Galaxie Mayberry police car.
The car is driven up to Andy's house by Barney, but the front end is partially hidden by a tree. Later, at the very end of the episode, the car is parked in front of the courthouse and Andy refers to it as "Barney's car".
