   Is Redbad a real character?

   • He is captured - but he just literally gets away! Redbad was a true character but sorry, this depiction was total drivel! Easily one of the worst movies I've seen. Only about 1/4 of the movie has anything to do with the (poorly told) story. So much of it is irrelevant, sweeping camera shots.

   • The film also makes no bones about the destructiveness of Christianity to the so-called pagan peoples. Baptisms then were certainly not dainty affairs. There are several good battle scenes that are pretty brutal. The post script to the movie stated that Redbad was actually removed from history by Christian historians. Not too difficult to believe.
