The Fiction Makers: Part 1: Directed by Roy Ward Baker. With Roger Moore, Sylvia Syms, Justine Lord, Kenneth J. Warren. The Saint is asked to act as a bodyguard to the best-selling adventure author Amos Klein and, to his surprise, discovers that Amos is a young woman who uses a male pen-name.
The pair are soon kidnapped by a group of people who claim to be members of S.W.O.R.D., the evil organization from Amos Klein's novels. Their leader, "Warlock", the mastermind of the group, mistakenly assumes that Simon Templar is Amos Klein and that the woman is his secretary.
The Fiction Makers is a 1968 feature film re-edited from a two-part episode of the "Saint" TV series starring Roger Moore as Simon Templar. It was also novelized as The Saint and the Fiction Makers. A gang boss, has discovered that a plan that was ingenious enough to work in a novel, could work...
