Timi Hansen (28 October 1958 – 4 November 2019) was a Danish bass player. He played in the Danish heavy metal band Mercyful Fate [ 1 ] from 1981 to 1985 and from 1992 to 1993, and its successor project King Diamond from 1985 to 1987.

Dec 3, 2008 · I've been listening to Mercyful Fate's "Melissa" alot lately, and his tone is awesome, especially on "Into the Coven". From the pictures on the inside of the booklet, he's got a T-Bird, but anybody know if he used any effects, and more importantly, how do cheaply replicate his tone?
Mercyful Fate was formed in early 1981 in Copenhagen, Denmark, by vocalist King Diamond and guitar player Hank Shermann. Guitarist Michael Denner, Bassist Timi Hansen and drummer Kim Ruzz soon joined to complete the band line-up. Released 3 legendary Album in 1982, 1983 & 1984.
