If you all liked Tisha by Robert Specht it is possible you would be interested in books by Janice Holt Giles, although they are not set in Alaska, but in the lower 48. Among her historical novels that I read are: Hannah Fowler, Johnny Osage, and Voyage to Santa Fe.
