Jul 26, 2022 · Tommy Turtle first appeared in Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog #117 (by Karl Bollers, Romy Chacon, Steven Butler, Nelson Ribeiro and Jim Amash) as one of the many Mobians hiding in Doctor Eggman's 'Forbidden Zone', where after Sonic attempted to help his slow-paced friend escape, Tommy was caught in an explosion caused by a fight between Doctor Eggman and Sleuth Dawg.

May 27, 2023 · Tommy Turtle Dies. In Sonic the Hedgehog #169, Tommy the reason Sonic became a hero after his time as a childhood bully, but he goes out in a moment of sacrifice. Dr. Eggman's son A.D.A.M. had taken over Tommy's body with nanites, and since Sonic and even Dr. Eggman couldn't destroy A.D.A.M., Tommy sacrificed his life to destroy him.
