Tony Stevens (born 12 September 1949) is an English musician, best known as the bassist with the bands Foghat, Savoy Brown, and Nobody's Business.

Tony Stevens was the original bass player and founded the band with guitarist / singer 'Lonesome' Dave Peverett and drummer Roger Earl, all ex Savoy Brown, with former Black Cat Bones lead guitarist Rod 'The bottle' Price.
The band initially featured Dave Peverett ("Lonesome Dave") on guitar and vocals, Tony Stevens on bass and Roger Earl on drums, after all three musicians left Savoy Brown in 1971. Rod Price, on guitar/slide guitar, joined after he left Black Cat Bones in December 1970.
Formed in January 1971, the group originally included lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist "Lonesome" Dave Peverett, bassist and backing vocalist Tony Stevens, drummer Roger Earl (all recently departed from Savoy Brown) and lead guitarist Rod Price (formerly of Black Cat Bones).

Jul 22, 2009 · Tony Joined SB in 1969 and is on the albums "A Step Further", "Raw Sienna" and 1970's "Looking In", after which Tony, Lonesome Dave and drummer Roger Earl left to form Foghat. Savoy Brown was more of a gritty blues band, where FH stepped it up to more of an upbeat blues-rock deal.
