Truth or Consequences is an American game show originally hosted on NBC radio by Ralph Edwards (1940–57) and later on television by Edwards (1950–54), Jack Bailey (1954–56), Bob Barker (1956–75), Steve Dunne (1957–58), Bob Hilton (1977–78) and Larry Anderson (1987–88).
Truth or Consequences was the long-running wild & wacky game show where contestants that were selected from the studio audience could either tell the truth (answer a question) or be forced to pay the consequences (perform a stunt).

The granddaddy of all TV stunt games, Truth or Consequences, began on CBS radio in March 1940, switched to NBC from 1941 to 1950, returned to CBS in 1950 and 1951, and finally moved back to NBC from 1952 to 1957.
