The opening video package showed clips of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash wreaking havoc with their “hostile takeover” of WCW while showing the WCW guys Sting, Lex Luger & Randy Savage trying to fight them off. It was a pretty basic video.
Our latest WCW RetroView looks back at WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 and the night the New World Order was formed. The show begins with a great video package dubbed “The Hostile Takeover.”. It shows all of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash’s invasion moments.
Bash at the Beach 1996 would serve as a platform for the genesis of the nWo. The hostile takeover at this very pay per view would completely change WCW and the wrestling business.
