    Layered Refried Bean Dip
    Food.com
This recipe was posted on athriftymom.com, and I doubled the recipe (except the quantity of cheese I left the same as posted). Some of the portions weren't listed exactly so feel free to adjust to your liking or add more cheese. I must confess, I added a litte sour cream, salsa, taco seasoning mix, and cheese to the refried beans. Then I did another layer of salsa. If you're not a salsa fan, you'll probably want to use less. I also used chives instead of green onions because that's what I had. This is good as a dip, but I also thought it was good inside taco shells for lunch or dinner. Tortillas would also work well. You may find that half the recipe is sufficient instead of the doubled ingredients below. Thank you A Thrifty Mom for the great recipe! Serving size is estimated.
    Byessar (Moroccan Broad Bean Dip)
    Food.com
Did you know that for the ancient Egyptians, beans were seen as a symbol of reincarnation and that they represented the rebirth of spring each year? I found this fabulous recipe for a Moroccan broad bean dip in the first edition - September 2005 - of the new Australian magazine 'Notebook: ideas for living'. It was part of an article on peas and beans. The 'cooking time' specified below does not include the 20 minutes cooling time in the refrigerator, necessary for allowing the flavours to blend. When I made this, I used frozen broad beans, thawed; they were baby beans so they didn't need peeling; and I used cumin because I haven't yet tracked down any ras el hanout. I also used 4 cloves of garlic - which is what I've included here in the ingredients; the original recipe had 1 clove of garlic.

It is exactly what it sounds like - all the toppings you'd get on a plate of nachos on a thin pizza crust! Add your own favorites to customize the recipe, like guacamole, refried beans, etc.
Fried Cornbread With Corn and Chiles
    Food.com
When I was growing up, my Grannie would make fried cornbread in the skillet on top of the stove to save time, instead of baking it in the oven. I always loved it...it didn't crumble and fall apart, and it was nice and crispy. Try regular cornbread that way...it is wonderful with some cabbage, pinto beans, fried apples and southern cooked pork chops! This recipe is a souped up version of what she used to make. To me its a meal in itself, but it really goes well with chili! Its also good dipped into homemade salsa. This is best cooked in a cast iron skillet, although you may use others.
    Spicy Garlic Hummus
    Food.com
I have tried a lot of hummus recipes, and this one is a combination of a few of my favorites, and is now the only one I use. I grow my own little Super Hot Chili Peppers and so that is what I use, but you can substitute any pepper you like, or use hot pepper flakes. I like a lot of garlic and a bit of a kick, but this recipe is easily alterable to your own tastes so adjust it as you see fit. I like my hummus thick so I usually skip the water. Another nice variation is to add a bit of red, green, and yellow bell peppers. It makes the hummus really pretty! Any hummus lover will tell you that the spread can be used so many ways. My favorite uses for this is as a vegetable dip or as a sandwich spread in a whole wheat veggie wrap. Yum!
Haystack (The Best 7-Layer Dip Ever)
    Allrecipes
This is my Grandma Valma's recipe that I bring to any holiday/party/shower or gathering, and it is always gone well before anything else. I have friends and relatives call and request that I bring this because they have been craving it since the last party. This is incredibly easy, but the mix of ingredients make this such an awesome appetizer. It may not actually be 7 layers, but that's what Grandma called it so I never argued! I have found that ridged or wavy potato chips are the best to go with this dip. Enjoy!!!
    Easy Weeknight Chicken Fajitas
    Yummly
This recipe for chicken fajitas is an absolute go-to for the weeknight rotation. The simplicity of the recipe combined with quality ingredients is what makes this dish outstanding. Not only is it incredibly flavorful and high in protein, but it also offers the convenience of easily re-heatable leftovers. Designed to serve 2 hungry people, this recipe is sure to satisfy appetites while likely leaving extra guacamole for dipping—so keep that in mind when scaling up the ingredients! Sizzling Saigon Crepes—banh Xeo
    Food.com
This is a Cook's Illustrated recipe. It sounds delicious! Here's what they had to say about them: Sizzling Saigon Crêpes (Banh Xeo) are paper-thin omelets stuffed with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts, wrapped in lettuce and herbs, and dipped in a sweet-tart dipping sauce. For our cookbook The Best International Recipe we found a way to recreate this popular Vietnamese street food at home. The hardest challenge was folding the crêpes; they were so thin they kept breaking under the weight of the meat. The answer was to move all the meat to one side of the pan before pouring in the batter, and then to fold the light side of the crepe over the filling.
Hasa Al Hummus -- Moroccan Chickpea Soup
    Food.com
Hasa Al Hummus is a wonderful Moroccan vegetarian soup for a comforting winter warmer. Morocco adores her soups though there are not a million varieties. Many recipes online may taste good though are faux or Moroccan "style" soups. I can guarantee that from me what you get is completely authentic Moroccan fare. I owe this to those interested in Moroccan food/cooking that is authentic. This is a very simple basic soup as most Moroccan foods are. Go to a touristy, especially a fancy one, spot and you will get French food with Moroccan influences; not how we eat every day. We eat Moroccan food perhaps with a French influence or two though never vice versa. My housemaid Nasiha who is approximately 60 taught me this recipe. I say approximately as many in Morocco do not know their birthday. Whip this up like we do and enjoy! In a pinch you can use canned chickpeas. They are acceptable, merely omit the first cooking hour. As an aside, here, hummus is the word for chickpea, not the dip/spread.
