New Outlook for Windows. Within any email in new Outlook, you can initiate an individual chat session with the sender or a group chat with all recipients. Begin with the received email open in the Outlook reading pane. In the ribbon menu, in the Teams group, select Chat.

If you have a Microsoft account, such as an Outlook.com or Skype account, you can chat with friends and family in Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 for the web.

2.Search for a contact in the search box, or select a previous conversation under Recent. To start a new conversation with multiple people, select New chat.
