  8. Mass Effect Andromeda truly does feel like the spiritual sequel to Mass Effect 1 in a way that neither 2 or 3 was. But that's not why I find Mass Effect Andromeda to be so tragic. No that comes down to how much sheer potential there is in the Andromeda setting with everything they set up for the future.
