  3. Dec 24, 2023 · There are many life-changing lessons to be learned from the miraculous birth of Jesus, lessons that often go unnoticed by the average person. That’s why Andrew Wommack created a four-part teaching titled Lessons from the Christmas Story.

    • God is ready to forgive all our sins. “There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit” (Isaiah 11:1-2).
    • Christ is our Shepherd. “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!'”
    • God does the impossible. “And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
    • God makes a way. “So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:6-7).
    • Sometimes the journey isn’t easy. In Luke 2, we find out that while Mary was pregnant with Jesus, Caesar wanted to take an account of his people through a census.
    • God makes a way for you. And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
    • God rewards the humble. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
    • God’s peace will fill the Earth. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
