Excellent set of books on the entire Civil War. Establishes “pre” and “post” war components for a thorough analysis. A nice blend of subject matter and photos – that is great for casual or more focused historians alike.
The Time Life Collector's Library of the Civil War Series contains 30 volumes. They were published in the 1980s and sold via book club subscription. Each book is a reprint of an original first hand account of the war.
