Apr 2, 2024 · Warren signed it on July 18, 1947, appropriating $1 million for the construction of a law school in the heart of the Westwood campus. The Law Building debuted in 1951. By 1957, the law library it housed grew from 21,000 to 110,000 volumes, making it approximately the 15th largest law library in the country at the time.
