May 12, 2017 · Installation view of work by Irina Korina in “Viva Arte Viva” at the 57th Venice Biennale, 2017. Korina constructed a standalone room within the Arsenale out of corrugated aluminum and covered its interior, wall-to-wall, with exuberant kitsch.

- Irina Korina (b. 1977 in Moscow.) Irina Korina’s site-specific installation Good Intentions might take some effort to find in the dark halls of the Arsenale.
- Vadim Fiškin (b. 1965 in Penza.) Vadim Fiškin, who is presently based in Ljubljana after being invited there by the informal organization Neue Slovenische Kunst (NSK), was once referred to as “the most Russian among Westerners and the most Western among Russians.”
Jun 23, 2017 · The exhibition deals elegantly with the relationship between political ideals and artistic utopias, proposing a dialogue between a hundred works of the Bolshevik period and others by contemporary artists including Wolfgang Tillmans, Tania Bruguera, Barbara Kruger, Cao Fei, Christian Nyampeta, and Irina Korina.
