I found Skyrim Reborn - Ultimate Locations Guide extremely useful in setting up my game, especially since it'll be my first playthrough and I've never been to most of the locations. Aside from the mod suggestions, there's a lot of great info on what location overhauls conflict with each other.

Skyrim in VR is fantastic, with one caveat, i.e., when it works. I just loaded up a Wabbajack list (with minimal changes), and went on to play the game. I've cleared more quest lines in VR in a month I did for pancake Skyrim across years; despite the overall pace being much slower.
