- The First Grail
- Big Eyes. “Big Eyes” is one of her earliest and most famous paintingsof all time. It portrays a child with stunning large, soul-piercing eyes. The eyes became a signature element of her artwork because she believed that the eyes were the window to the soul.
- Tomorrow Forever. This is one of Margaret’s beautiful pieces that depicts hundreds of children with oversized eyes standing in a barren landscape, staring at the viewer.
- The Stray. The 1965 painting by Margaret is a short story inspired by her own experience of being a victim of plagiarism by Walter Keane her ex-husband.
- The Waif. The iconic painting was created in 1964 by Margaret Keane. It features a young girl with huge signature eyes that Margaret is known for. She is also wearing a tattered dress and is seen holding a flower.
About. Born 1927 in Nashville, Tennessee, Margaret's paintings first became famous in San Francisco’s North Beach in the 1950s and is the subject of Tim Burton's "Big Eyes". Adored by collectors Worldwide, at 93 years old, Margaret continues to create daily in Napa, CA.
