    • Beyond the Sea. Beyond the Sea is the most innovative and expansive installment of Black Mirror season 6. Beyond the Sea excels in nearly every aspect compared to the aforementioned episodes in delivering a highly-original concept whose innovative technological theme organically creates suspense and tension.
    • Loch Henry. Loch Henry is an excellent work of true crime and murder mystery that naturally fits into the Black Mirror universe. It delivers the most poignant self-reflexive argument on the entertainment industry at large throughout Black Mirror season 6.
    • Joan Is Awful. Joan Is Awful is uniquely metaphysical in how it criticizes the very platform on which it's being displayed, which is a satisfying and authentic update to the Black Mirror universe.
    • Demon 79. Demon 79 is advertised as a Red Mirror production, which is reportedly Charlie Booker's label for content that belongs in the Black Mirror universe but doesn't fall under the category of science fiction or feature commentary that includes themes of technology.

    • Beyond the Sea’ In space, nobody can hear you scream. Aaron Paul’s character, Cliff, discovers this the hard way when his co-pilot on a years long space mission, Josh Hartnett’s David, commits an atrocity on his family.
    • Demon 79’ Now we’re talking. Black Mirror becomes Red Mirror for a fantasy-tinged morality tale that’s reminiscent of The Outer Limits. Nida, a woman working in a clothing store, suffers constant derogatory attitudes from colleagues and customers.
    • Loch Henry’ Figuring out a mystery before time doesn’t always rob it of its power, however in the case of ‘Loch Henry’, the structure deflates when you notice the upcoming bend.
    • Joan is Awful’ Netflix becomes the target of Black Mirror’s ire, as a woman finds out her data’s being chewed up by the almighty algorithm to create an AI-generated dramatization of her life.

    • "Demon 79" It's easy to feel conflicted about the final episode of Black Mirror's latest season, "Demon 79." It is the most entertaining of the bunch, and has a streak of dark humor throughout that feels reminiscent of the very funny (and extremely messed up) pre-Netflix seasons.
    • "Beyond the Sea" There are plenty of big names attached to Black Mirror's sixth season, with "Beyond the Sea" arguably being its most star-heavy episode, featuring the likes of Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, and Kate Mara.
    • "Joan Is Awful" "Loch Henry" might poke a little fun at streaming services like Netflix, but season 6's first episode, "Joan Is Awful," goes all-in. For better and for worse, this feels most reminiscent of Black Mirror episodes in the past, and is the only episode of season 6 that feels like it could be set in the future.
    • "Loch Henry" "Loch Henry" is a low-key episode that's clearly aiming to be a slow-burn with a devastating ending, but the execution leaves a good deal to be desired.
