  1. Jun 24, 2015 · I did not like the Brookes’ family at all—they were all bland, snobbish, or pandering (in the case of the kid). I spend my time waiting for the Ropers to be onscreen again, but when they reappear, nothing much happens. I chalk it up to poor writing and lack of imagination. Good review.

Some blame the time slot, when it was moved to Saturdays at 8 p.m. Fell even begged ABC to move the show to a better time slot but they didn’t listen and the show continued to see low ratings.

  5. Helen and Stanley Roper will always be better known for their roles as the nosy landlords downstairs who were suspicious of Jack Tripper's sexual orientation. How ironic? Anyway, the Ropers only lasted a season which was just too short.
