Chronology of CS:GO Major Winners. We started way back to the first CS:GO Major held in 2013 in Jönköping, Sweden, the hometown of DreamHack. Fnatic became the first CS:GO Major winners, and went down in history. That core is known as one of the most dominant teams ever, dubbed the “Fnatic Era”.
The first Valve-recognized Major took place in 2013 in Jönköping, Sweden and was hosted by DreamHack with a total prize pool of US$250,000 split among 16 teams. This, along with the following 18 Majors, was played in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
- 2013 – DreamHack Winter: Fnatic. Fnatic emerged victorious in the first-ever CS:GO Major at DreamHack Winter 2013. The team’s roster consisted of JW, Flusha, Schneider, Devilwalk, and Pronax.
- 2014 – ESL Major Series One Katowice: Virtus.pro. Virtus.pro showcased their dominance at the ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014. The team, comprising TaZ, NEO, pashaBiceps, Snax, and Byali, outperformed their opponents and lifted the trophy with their exceptional teamwork and individual skill.
