Feb 2, 2022 · 1. We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. If you enjoyed George Orwell’s depiction of a totalitarian state, then you should absolutely read We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. This novel was published in 1924, so it predates Orwell’s publication of 1984. As well, it is said to have been an inspiration for Orwell.
