Welcome to the MaCS Program, a specialized program at William Lyon Mackenzie C.I. info heading. info content. With over 350 students, a good portion of the student population at Mackenzie is part of this program. This program is one of a kind, giving students many opportunities both academically and non-academically.
William Lyon Mackenzie was a Canadian politician who was born near Dundee, Scotland, on the 12th of March 1795. In April 1820 he immigrated with his mother to Canada. In May 1824 he published at Queenston the famous newspaper called the Colonial Advocate which ran until the 4th of November 1834.
William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute, one of Toronto’s most prestigious high schools, was founded in 1960 by the North York Board of Education.
